About this event:
I Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
I called several persons today just to check up on them and see how they were doing. Let me just share their first names to keep their names from being broadcast far and wide on the internet.
Jim and his wife are thankful and blessed for their continued health and strength every day. He has been released from Home Health Care and rejoices. They must be getting better because he says they have cabin fever.
Juanita is so thankful for all the prayers and awesome way God has interacted in behalf of her son, Greg. He went home from the hospital. He did have two stints put in the veins around his heart and they are doing great. His lungs sound good and she and her family are giving God praise.
Tommy said that he and his wife were also doing well. They are staying in and have not been able to get their vaccine shots. But they are so thankful to be inside, safe, free from sickness.
I called several others and found their circumstances to be in a different place. One person had chest cold, congestion, another had problems breathing, one with an eye problem, and one with a UTI infection. Some of these were in the hospital and some were at home. Take a few moments to pray for all of them.
The Scripture above tells us that, whatever state we are in, to give thanks in all circumstances. It is difficult when we are sick and things are not well. Remember God’s promises go far beyond what we face here and now. God calls us to look beyond ourselves, to look beyond our circumstances, and realize His will for us is eternal gratitude.
This life is but a moment in the speck of eternity. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will. That is a great motto for us to live by every day.
Blessings, Pastor Tony
