Counseling

What is the counseling Ministry as RCC?
The counseling is a single, convenient resource for confidential and professional assistance when personal problems arise. These include, but are not limited to:

          • Marital and family difficulties
          • Alcohol and substance abuse
          • Spiritual, psychological and emotional distress
          • Bereavement
          • Job stress
          • Life changes
          • Parenting
          • Aging

Who provides counseling?
Counseling is provided by Alan Swindall, M.A., M.Div. He is an ordained minister and licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. His background, training and experience provide him with the expertise to assist a wide variety of issues.

How do I obtain counseling?
Counseling sessions are by appointment, with morning, afternoon, and evening hours available. To schedule an appointment, call 668-2344. Leave a voice-mail message if the counselor is in session and cannot answer the call. Include your name and telephone number at which you wish to be called. The counselor will return your call and arrange an initial meeting.

What else do I need to know?
Sessions are normally 50 minutes in length. Fees are $100 per session and are payable by cash or check at the end of each session.  Click here to go to the counselor's website for more information or to print out his forms.
