Romans 8: 38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The apostle Paul went through horrendous experiences when serving Christ. Yet he wrote today’s verses and asks what can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus the Lord. Not death. Everyone dies, and the ones who believe in Jesus have eternal life (John 3:16).Not life. Life can be a complicated mess. It can be scary. Jesus said “Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Not angels. Angels are powerful creatures. Yet, even if they wanted to, they do not have the power to separate you from the love of God. Not demons. Resist them and they flee (James 4:7).

Not things present. Today in 2020 things can be frightening. However, anything that’s going on right now, no matter how terrible or confusing, it cannot separate you from the love of God. Not things to come. When reading Revelation dealing with some of the future things that will happen, know that even they cannot separate you from the love of God.

Not powers. Worldly governments may make your beliefs illegal. They may persecute you and withhold jobs. They may rise up and throw you in jail or even have you executed; but, they can’t separate you from the love of God. Not heightNot depth. No matter how high or low you go, God is there. Not anything in creation. Absolutely nothing in the universe can separate you from the love of God. So run to Him, bringing all your cares and those of the nation, and He will receive you with open arms.

Quarantine can mean separation, but NOT FROM THE LOVE OF GOD.
